Small volume particle size analysis with the new FRITSCH ANALYSETTE 22 NeXT Cuvette

Reliable measurements when every milligram counts

In many particle characterization applications, obtaining enough sample material can be challenging.

Whether working with pharmaceutical ingredients, battery materials, specialty chemicals, catalysts, pigments, advanced ceramics or research samples, available quantities are often limited, expensive or difficult to replace. Yet traditional wet particle size analysis methods typically require relatively large sample and dispersion volumes.

To address this challenge, FRITSCH has introduced the new ANALYSETTE 22 NeXT Cuvette, a dedicated measuring cell designed for reliable laser diffraction measurements using extremely small sample quantities and only minimal amounts of dispersion liquid.

Why small volume analysis matters

For many laboratories, the cost of a measurement is not determined by the instrument but by the sample itself.

Early-stage R&D materials, specialty formulations or high-value powders may only be available in gram or even milligram quantities. In these situations, reducing sample consumption can significantly increase experimental efficiency while lowering operating costs.

The new A-22 NeXT Cuvette requires only 7 to 8.5 ml of dispersion liquid, making it particularly suitable for:

  • Valuable or scarce sample materials
  • Expensive dispersion media
  • Early-stage formulation development
  • Pharmaceutical and life science applications
  • Battery and advanced materials research
  • Specialty chemicals and pigments

Designed for reproducible measurements

Accurate particle size analysis depends on stable and homogeneous dispersion.

The new cuvette features a software-controlled magnetic stirring system that continuously maintains sample homogeneity throughout the measurement process. This helps improve reproducibility and measurement reliability, particularly when working with limited sample quantities.

Safe sample introduction is performed using disposable or dosing pipettes, while an adjustable dosing pipette enables highly precise and repeatable sample addition.

Expanding the flexibility of the ANALYSETTE 22 NeXT platform

With the introduction of the NeXT Cuvette, FRITSCH further expands the flexibility of the ANALYSETTE 22 NeXT particle sizing platform.

Laboratories can now select the most appropriate measurement configuration depending on sample availability, material value and application requirements, while maintaining the reliable particle size analysis performance expected from the ANALYSETTE 22 NeXT series.
