Technology Update June 18, 2024: FRITSCH cutting mills and particle sizers

FRITSCH TECHNOLOGY UPDATE

Grinding, crushing, cutting…

Test your samples yourself on the FRITSCH Pulverisette and analyze the result with sieving or particle size analysis

We would like to invite you to our workshop on FRITSCH grinding mills on Tuesday June 18 at our office in Nazareth (Nieuwe Steenweg 20A). This free workshop is organized by Benelux Scientific in cooperation with FRITSCH, a market leader in laboratory equipment for crushing, grinding, sample distribution and particle size determination.

The ball mill Pulverisette 7 premium line, knife mill Pulverisette 11, the updated rotor mill Pulverisette 14 and cutting mills Pulverisette 19 and Pulverisette 29 will be available for testing.

With these mills you can grind a wide range of samples; from small hard rocks, ceramics and metals, hard and soft polymers to wet and dry organic samples. After grinding, we measure the particle size with the Analysette 28 ImageSizer. If grinding requires another different solution, your sample will be tested afterwards in FRITSCH’s application lab.

The working language for the presentations will be English. Participation is free of charge but please register by Tuesday, June 11, 2024.

Agenda

  • 09:30 – 10:00: Welcoming reception
  • 10.00 – 10.15: Short presentation by the participants and their samples
  • 10:15 – 11:00: Grinding & pulverizing in the lab: grinding principles & applications of the devices (Patrick Moosmann – FRITSCH)
  • 11:00 – 11:15: Coffee break
  • 11:15 – 11.45: Basic principles of particle characterization: determination of shape and size with laser diffraction and image analysis (Dominique Decker – FRITSCH)
  • 11:45 – 12:30: Practical session 1: Samples of the participants are milled / determination of particle size
  • 12:30 – 13:15: Lunch
  • 13:15 – 15:00: Practical session 2: Grinding of participants’ samples / determination of particle size – Review with the specialists

Throughout, you will also have the opportunity to test the latest digital microscope, Tagarno’s T50. Which sample would you like to take a closer look at? Feel free to bring it along!
