Benelux Scientific is the new representative of the Compcut machines in Belgium

Benelux Scientific is excited to announce the distribution on the Belgium market of the Compcut composite cutting machines used primarily for the swift and safe preparation of consistently accurate composite test samples.

COMPCUT, the specialist division designing and manufacturing state-of-the-art composite cutting and machining solutions, powered by Sharp & Tappin, is improving herewith its supply and service to the European market by teaming up with specialist partner Benelux Scientific.

As Compcut machines are acquired by more leading manufacturers, test houses and academic institutions their use is fast becoming the norm for producing test samples and hence demand for the technology is rising both in Europe and in the US. Across mainland Europe, and now in particular in Belgium too, this exciting new partnership with Benelux Scientific will allow more companies and organisations to produce critical composite test samples using Compcut machines as they join the hundreds of Composite Engineers who now realise that this is:

  • Safer
  • Easier
  • Quicker
  • Cleaner
  • Cost-effective
  • More consistent

Jon Small, COMPCUT Head of Sales, said: “We are absolutely delighted, and feel very fortunate to be able to partner with the fantastic team at Benelux Scientific for the distribution of the Compcut machines in Belgium.  Whilst we have already sold to a number of high profile customers in mainland Europe we have up until this point held back on actively supplying machines in the territories as we did not feel confident that we could effectively locally supply and support a large number of units.  The Benelux Scientific team not only have local reach and knowledge, but they have significant experience supplying and technically supporting a range of machinery used for materials testing. We are very excited to be able to supply more customers across Europe and look forward to making many more friends along the way.

This year, Benelux Scientific team will be present at the Compcut booth at  JEC WORLD in Paris, where they will be demonstrating how effective the machines are by cutting materials live on their stand.

Maarten Debrouwere, Benelux Scientific Sales says: “Please do come and meet up with us on the Compcut stand (Hall 6, stand R73). The Compcut machines have the capability to accurately cut an array of possible composite materials, including Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymer (CFRP), Ceramic and other matrix composites (CMC), as well as Thermoplastic and Aramid Fibre composites.  If you would like to see if the machine is suitable for your materials please bring a composite material to test in a live demonstration.”

For more information please visit the Compcut website.

The Compcut machines are already being distributed and technically serviced in France by France Scientifique, a company part of Aptco Group, which also owns Benelux Scientific.
